Desert Grace Book of Prayers for Emotional Healing
First in the series, Desert Grace Book of Prayers for Emotional Healing guides readers into active listening prayer with the Holy Spirit to identify and process day to day emotions, removing blocks that prevent them from understanding God’s goodness. Starting with an emotions identification chart, the reader is guided to identify one of six emotion categories and led to process them through reflection, journaling, prayer, and meditation on scriptures based on the character of God through the practice of Lectio Divina. The book includes a 52 week reflection journal to help facilitate written exercises as you work through the contemplative prayers.
Partnering with the Holy Spirit to Heal Your Emotions
Spiritual healing prayer facilitator Faith Frankenfield wrote Desert Grace to help you identify, process, and pray through your emotions along with the Holy Spirit, just like if you were in a session. It’s ok to go at your own pace and not feel rushed to finish a prayer in one sitting. Going through steps 2-7, one step per day as a weekly devotional is beneficial for people who have limited time. There is a QR code with guided prayers that I have recorded to pray along with you, or if you prefer you can work through each step at your own pace.
At the end of each healing prayer is a prompt to turn to the corresponding Lectio Divina Meditation. Lectio Divina is the process of praying and declaring scriptures over yourself and your life. These scriptures are based on God’s character traits that help us understand who He is for us in the emotions we experience.
